Eric McCusker

Born in Ireland and growing up on the beach in Sydney, Eric McCusker's first band in high school was with Renee Geyer. After working with people like John English, Stevie Wright and Ross Ryan, he moved to Melbourne in 1979 to join the Captain Matchbox Band.

The next year he joined Mondo Rock as guitarist and writer of songs such as “State of the Heart”, “Summer of 81” and “Come Said the Boy”. He also had songs covered by Rick Springfield, John Farnham and Paul Rodgers. Eric spent the 90's raising two kids with wife Jenee and playing with The Wolfgramm Sisters, working in music education and as a board member of APRA, a position he still holds.

Since the year 2000 he has been back working with Ross Wilson in the Urban Legends and from time to time in the reformed Mondo Rock.
