Matt Hutchison is a principal consultant for SWAT Enterprises, the leading music and entertainment industry consultancy in Asia and the first to focus on India and Mainland China.

Since its inception 15 years ago, SWAT has brokered many groundbreaking deals throughout Asia Pacific between East and West, and overseen the marketing and promotion of some of the world's most successful pop acts including Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, *NSYNC and Justin Timberlake. SWAT has represented many leading independent music companies including Zomba/Jive, Big Life, Edel, Telstar, Readers Digest, PIAS, Arcade, Mega, Tigerstar, Big Life, Koch, Domino Records, The Beggars Group, Greensleeves Records, Rough Trade Records, Sanctuary Records, TVT and V2 Music.

SWAT currently works with a number of industry associations including the RIAA, the UK's Association of Independent Music and UK Trade and Investment Council, ICEX Spain and The Spanish Embassy and The Canadian Recording Industry, CRIA and consults on a regular basis for music initiatives originated by leading brand agencies including Ogilvy, Bates and Blue Interactive.

Understanding the complex challenges facing the global music industry, SWAT has responded by providing a wider ranger of services supporting agents, promoters, publishers, digital music services, managers, industry bodies, device manufacturers, ISPs, MVAS providers, independent movie studios as well as traditional label clients.

Based out of Hong Kong, Matt leverages thirteen years experience in the Asia Pacific music market having spent more than half that time exclusively managing the Walt Disney Co's music assets for the region. In that time he oversaw the marketing and licensing of the all-time best selling western album in China, ‘The Lion King' soundtrack. He supports SWAT's initiatives for the North Asia region, focusing on China market strategies for independent music companies.
