Tracee Hutchison

Tracee is a weekly Opinion columnist for Melbourne's Saturday Age and a reporter with ABC TV's 7.30 Report.

She has over 20 years experience in radio, TV and print as a journalist, presenter and producer, worked onscreen for every TV network and has broadcast extensively throughout Australia for ABC radio initially at JJJ, where she launched the national network in 1989, and including 702 ABC Sydney, 774 ABC Melbourne, 8DDD Darwin and 2NR Lismore and the community stations 3RRR and 2SER.

Tracee was Program Manager at Melbourne's iconic community station 3RRR.FM from 2002-2005 and for 7 years presented the station's long running political and social justice program ‘the word'. She was also the co-host of ABC2's music program ‘DIG TV' with James Reyne.

Tracee is the author of 3 books: the Australian Music Anthology "Your Name's on the Door:10 years of Australian Music" (ABC Books/1992) based on a radio series she produced and presented for JJJ, and 'Rock Chefs for Mirabel' (2003) a rock and roll cookbook featuring over 30 of Australia's best-loved rockstars in full-flight in their kitchens - and ‘Laughing Stock: Comedy Chefs for Mirabel' (2007) - a comedic version of Rock Chefs - with proceeds of the latter two directed to the children's charity, The Mirabel Foundation.
